    How to manage Distribution Lists using Adaxes

     Due to moving to O365 and having our Exchange environment in a hybrid scenario, users will now use Adaxes to manage Exchange Distribution Lists.

     Referenced below are the two documents from Microsoft that explain the situation.  Instead of using Microsoft tools we will use Adaxes to add/remove from these Distribution Lists.

     Only users or groups who have the managed by permissions on the DL are allowed to edit Distribution lists.

     Browse to https://adaxes.waukeshacounty.gov/ and then follow the instructions below.

     Go to the search window and enter the DL you would like to update.

     


    In this example we used Test Distribution.  Select it from the drop down.

    Click Add and then type of the name you would like to enter.

     

    Select the name and then OK.

    Click OK you should see the Success window.

     You can now verify that the user has been added to the DL.  

     There could be a 30 minute delay from when the user is added/removed because the AD sync cycle runs every 30 minutes.

     To REMOVE a user you can use the check box next to the user and the select remove.

    You will be prompted if you are sure you would like to remove the user.

     

    You will then receive a success window stating the user has been removed.
