    How to use Microsoft Change Password

    The workflow of these instructions works as of the creation of this document.  

    Introduction:

    Password writeback has been enabled in our tenant/domain.  This means any password changes made in the cloud (e.g., via Microsoft 365) will now be synchronized back to our on-premises Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) environment in real time.

    Required Steps:

    1. Microsoft Account Password Reset:

    2.   Click on Initials or Picture in the navigation across the top of the Account home page.  Select View Account

          On the Security basics page, select Change password.

          On the Change password page, enter your existing password and then add your new password. Make sure to create a strong password.

    After updating your password, it will take you to re-login with your updated password.
